Terms of Use
Effective date: 6 November 2026
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Serhii Blinov, the developer and seller of the Car Cinema app (“we”, “us”, “our”), who can be reached at s.blinov@outlook.com. They cover the Car Cinema app for iPhone and CarPlay, its updates and Car Cinema Pro (together, the “App”).
By downloading, installing or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App and delete it.
These Terms replace Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement for Car Cinema. Our Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information and is part of these Terms.
1. Apple and these Terms
1.1. These Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple Inc. (“Apple”). We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the App and its content.
1.2. Your use of the App must also comply with the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. If those rules and these Terms conflict, the Usage Rules prevail.
2. What Car Cinema is
2.1. Car Cinema is a media player. It plays content that you add or open: IPTV playlists and accounts, your own media servers (such as Jellyfin or Emby), files, links and websites (such as YouTube) in its built-in browser. It can show that content on your iPhone, on your car’s CarPlay display while the car is parked, and on TVs (for example through Chromecast, AirPlay or DLNA).
2.2. The App comes with no channels, films or other content of its own. We do not host, provide, sell, check or endorse any content, playlist, server, website or service you use with the App.
3. Licence
3.1. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, as allowed by the Usage Rules (including Family Sharing, where the App supports it).
3.2. You may not copy, modify, sell, rent, lend, distribute or sublicense the App; decompile, reverse engineer or try to derive its source code (except where the law expressly allows it); remove or bypass its purchase checks, free-time limits, safety checks or other protections; or use it to build a competing product.
3.3. The App, its code, design, texts and the Car Cinema name and logo belong to us or our licensors. Apart from the licence above, you receive no rights in them.
4. Driving safety — video only while parked
4.1. Never watch video, or let video on the car’s display distract you, while you drive. Video on the car’s display is for a parked vehicle and for passengers. While the vehicle is moving, the driver must keep attention on the road and use the App only in ways the law allows (for example, listening to sound through the car).
4.2. When your car does not itself report that video may be shown, the App asks you to confirm that you are parked (“I am parked”). The App cannot know whether your vehicle is actually parked. By tapping “I am parked” you confirm that the vehicle is lawfully parked and that you will stop video before driving off. You are solely responsible for that confirmation.
4.3. You are solely responsible for complying with all traffic, road-safety and vehicle laws where you drive, including rules on screens that the driver can see. Some places do not allow video on a screen the driver can see even while the vehicle is parked or the engine is running — in such places do not use video on the car’s display.
4.4. Do not use the App in a way that could distract you or others, block your view, or interfere with the vehicle’s controls, safety systems or warnings. Follow your vehicle maker’s instructions.
4.5. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not responsible for accidents, injury, damage, fines or other loss arising from use of the App in a moving vehicle, from an untrue “I am parked” confirmation, or from breaking traffic or vehicle laws.
4.6. You use the App in or around a vehicle at your own risk.
5. Your content and your sources
5.1. You are solely responsible for the content you play, add, cast or open with the App, and for having every right and licence needed to do so — including from IPTV providers, broadcasters, rights holders and the owners of the servers and websites you use.
5.2. You must not use the App to access, play, record or share content illegally; to infringe copyright or other rights; to get around copy protection (DRM), geographic restrictions or paywalls; or to break the terms of the services you use.
5.3. Copy-protected (DRM) content may not play in the App, or may not show on the car’s display or a TV, because of rules set by Apple and the rights holders. This is not a defect of the App.
5.4. If you believe content opened through the App infringes your rights: we do not host content, so please contact the source that provides it. You can also write to us at s.blinov@outlook.com and we will help where we can.
6. Third-party services and websites
6.1. The App works with services, websites, devices and platforms of other companies — for example YouTube and other websites in its browser, your IPTV provider, your media server, Chromecast, AirPlay and DLNA TVs. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability, accuracy, prices, privacy practices or changes.
6.2. Your use of each such service is governed by that service’s own terms and policies, which you must follow. When you sign in to a website or service inside the App (for example your Google or YouTube account), you sign in with that service directly; we never see or store your password, and that sign-in stays on your device.
6.3. YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC. Apple, iPhone, CarPlay and AirPlay are trademarks of Apple Inc. Car Cinema is not made, sponsored, endorsed or approved by Google, YouTube, Apple, any car maker or any other company whose service or device it works with. Their names are used only to describe compatibility.
7. Apple, CarPlay, cars and devices can change
7.1. What the App can do depends on iOS, CarPlay, your car or stereo, your TV and other devices, and on third-party services. Apple, car makers, Google and other companies can change, restrict or remove capabilities at any time — for example in an iOS update, a change of App Store or CarPlay rules, a car software update or a change to a website such as YouTube.
7.2. As a result, a feature — including video on the car’s display, YouTube, casting or a format — may stop working, work differently, or not be available on your iPhone, iOS version, car, country or TV. We do not promise that any feature will keep working on every device, iOS version, car or service, now or in the future. Such changes made by others are not a defect of the App and do not make us liable to you.
7.3. We try to keep the App working and to adapt it after such changes, but we are not obliged to, and we may remove or change features that can no longer be offered. We owe no compensation when a feature changes or stops working for the reasons in this section; refunds of App Store purchases are possible only through Apple (section 8.6).
7.4. Check what your car and iOS version can show (see Compatibility) before you buy. Car Cinema’s free minutes are there so you can try it in your own car first.
8. Free use, Car Cinema Pro and payments
8.1. Free minutes. Each iPhone gets 30 minutes of playback free of charge. This is a free allowance, not a free trial of a subscription. To keep watching after that, Car Cinema Pro is required.
8.2. Car Cinema Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly) or as a one-time purchase. Prices are shown in the App and on the App Store before you buy and may differ by country.
8.3. Billing by Apple. All purchases are made through the App Store and billed by Apple to your Apple Account. We never receive your payment details.
8.4. Auto-renewal. A subscription renews automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription. If the price changes, Apple tells you as its rules require.
8.5. One-time purchase. A one-time purchase unlocks Car Cinema Pro for as long as we offer and support the App, for the Apple Account that bought it. It is not a promise that every feature will keep working on every future iOS version, car or device (see section 7).
8.6. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies (reportaproblem.apple.com). We cannot issue refunds ourselves. Your statutory rights are not affected.
8.7. Restoring purchases. Use “Restore purchases” in the App on another device signed in to the same Apple Account.
8.8. We may change what Car Cinema Pro includes, for valid reasons such as changes described in section 7, security, law or the App’s development, without extra charge to you.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the App: for anything illegal or harmful; in a way that endangers road safety; to infringe anyone’s rights; to attack, overload or interfere with any service, network or device; or to break the terms of the services you connect it to. We may stop providing the App to you if you break these Terms.
10. Privacy in short
Car Cinema needs no account and contains no advertising or analytics tools. Your playlists, servers, favourites, history and website sign-ins stay on your device. Voice input uses Apple’s speech recognition. A technical report reaches us only when you choose to send it to support. Details: Privacy Policy.
11. Maintenance and support
11.1. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for providing maintenance and support for the App, as described in these Terms or required by law. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services for the App.
11.2. Support: s.blinov@outlook.com or https://sblinov.com/contact-us/. We may release updates and may stop offering or supporting the App or any version of it.
12. Warranty
12.1. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted or error-free operation, compatibility with any vehicle, device, iOS version or service, and the availability of any content.
12.2. The App does not check whether your vehicle is parked, whether a stream, playlist or website is lawful or safe, or whether content is suitable for passengers or children. Any information in the App or on our website (including compatibility lists) is general guidance, not a promise for your vehicle or device.
12.3. If the App fails to conform to any warranty that cannot be excluded under applicable law, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) of the App to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to any warranty are our sole responsibility, as far as these Terms do not exclude them.
13. Limitation of liability
13.1. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or use, arising from the App or these Terms, even if we were told such damage was possible.
13.2. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for Car Cinema Pro in the 12 months before the claim arose, or USD 50 if you paid nothing.
13.3. To the extent permitted by law, any claim relating to the App or these Terms must be brought within one year after the facts giving rise to it occurred; after that it is barred.
13.4. To the extent permitted by law, you may bring claims against us only individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective or representative proceeding.
13.5. To the extent not prohibited by law, we are not liable for personal injury arising from your use of the App. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (in some countries, for example, liability for fraud, intent or gross negligence, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence), and nothing affects your mandatory rights as a consumer. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
14. Indemnity
To the extent the law allows, you agree to compensate us (and Apple) for claims, damages and costs, including reasonable legal fees, caused by your breach of these Terms, by content you play or share, or by your use of the App while driving or in breach of the law.
15. Product claims
We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App or your possession and/or use of it, including: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy or similar legislation.
16. Intellectual property claims
If a third party claims that the App or your possession and use of it infringes that third party’s intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of any such claim. This does not cover content you play or open with the App (section 5).
17. Legal compliance
You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You also agree to comply with the export and sanctions laws that apply to you.
18. Third-party terms
You must comply with the terms of any third-party agreement that applies when you use the App — for example your mobile carrier’s data terms, your IPTV provider’s terms and the terms of websites and services you open.
19. Apple as third-party beneficiary
You and we acknowledge and agree that Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that, upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.
20. Age
The App is rated 17+ on the App Store because its browser can open any website. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use the App only with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian.
21. Changes to the App and these Terms; ending
21.1. We may update the App, and may change these Terms for valid reasons (such as new features, changes by Apple or others, or legal requirements). We publish the new version at car-cinema.com/terms/ with a new effective date; for significant changes we will also tell you in the App or on the website. If you keep using the App after a change takes effect, the new Terms apply. If you do not agree, stop using the App and, if needed, cancel your subscription.
21.2. You can end these Terms at any time by deleting the App and cancelling any subscription. We may end them or suspend your licence if you seriously or repeatedly break them. Sections that by their nature should survive (for example 4.5, 4.6, 5, 7.3, 12–19, 22) survive termination.
22. Governing law and disputes
22.1. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where the mandatory law of another country applies.
22.2. The courts of Bratislava, Slovakia, have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the App. A dispute may also be heard by any other court that has jurisdiction under applicable law, and we may bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live.
22.3. If you are a consumer living in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland or another country whose mandatory consumer protection laws apply, you keep the protection of those laws, and you may bring claims in the courts of your country.
22.4. Before any formal claim, please write to us at s.blinov@outlook.com — most problems can be solved quickly.
23. General
23.1. If a provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in force, and that provision is applied to the greatest extent allowed.
23.2. These Terms (with the Privacy Policy) are the whole agreement between you and us about the App. Not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer these Terms; we may transfer them to whoever takes over the App, without reducing your rights.
23.3. The App and its documentation are “Commercial Items” (48 C.F.R. §2.101) licensed to U.S. Government end users only as Commercial Items and with the same rights as all other end users under these Terms.
23.4. These Terms are written in English. If they are translated, the English version prevails, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
